Lucia J. Mar, CFA, CPA, is a Senior Vice President and Market Executive for Global Commercial Banking at Bank of America (BofA). She leads the bank’s efforts in expanding its industry leading market share among public and private companies with $50 million to $2 billion annual revenue in the state of Indiana. As a market leader, she is responsible for revenue and profitability, developing and executing the market strategy, talent acquisition and development, and being the bank’s brand ambassador to the business community in Indiana.

Prior to her current role, Lucia was a Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Business Banking at BofA. She led a team of seasoned business bankers in the expansion of BofA’s market share among companies with $5 million to $50 million annual revenue in Nashville. In 2018, Lucia won the Pinnacle Award, a highest honor in Business Banking awarded to those who deliver exceptional results in serving clients, the business, and the company.

Lucia was a 2018 Global Diversity & Inclusion award recipient at Bank of America and earned recognition within BAML for driving a culture of diversity and inclusion as well as helping others win and prepare for career advancement.

Lucia received her MBA from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA and her BS in Business Administration from the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing, China. Lucia is a CPA and a CFA charter holder. She is Series 7, 63, and 24 licensed and bilingual – English and Mandarin Chinese.

As a community leader, Lucia serves on many non-profit boards using her expertise to help them grow their top line, improve margins, and transform their productions and market offerings. Lucia is also a contributor to the Nashville Business Journal.

Lucia is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. As a mentor, she helps equip women and girls with the tools they need to advance their careers and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Lucia grew up in Beijing, China and moved to the United States in 1999. She is an avid reader and enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with her family.
