Fall 2019 Developing Professionals Open House

Last week, the Developing Professionals held an open house as an opportunity to bring along colleagues and friends to learn more about the DP program and possibly become DP’s themselves!

The open house at Industrious was the perfect intimate space for networking and meeting other women at the onset of their careers. After a period of mingling and getting to know each other, attendees were treated with a panel of seasoned Developing Professionals including Kristin Dulaney and Ingrid Arreola, and as well as Board Member Ashley Christie.

Why the DP Program is Worth It

The Developing Professionals programs offers countless opportunities and connections to women who may be at the beginning of their careers, or at a crossroads. At such a period of life, it is important to build a strong network of support and have a mentor who can offer guidance as you navigate your career. The DP program provides this– every Developing Professional receives a new mentor match with a seasoned professional three times a year. In addition to this, Developing Professionals can attend multiple workshops, networking events, and “Torch Talk” panels throughout the year for no additional cost.

As Kristin said in the panel, “Attending so many workshops and events would be so much more expensive if I was not part of the Developing Professionals program.”

The Value of Making Connections

One of the extra benefits of the Developing Professionals program is that it is a great way to meet people, make connections, and maybe even lasting friendships. In the Open House panel, Ingrid mentioned how she regularly meets up with a group of friends she met through the Developing Professionals. They had a dinner just the Sunday before the Open House.
