Hello everyone! My name is Lilly and I am the Communications Lead Apprentice at Pass the Torch for Women. I am currently a senior at Indiana University Bloomington, majoring in English with minors in History and Norwegian. My responsibilities at PTTFW include posting blog content, maintaining social media pages and assisting in marketing strategies for the foundation. For me, what makes this internship special is the fact that I am a Project Grow alum and have experienced the positive impact that this organization has had on my professional and personal development. Upon initially joining Project Grow, my knowledge of the corporate world and life after college was scant. Being the first woman in my family to attend college used to intimidate me, but due to the empowering testimonies and mentorship from the foundation’s 500 Circle, I now use my background to fuel my professional goals and ambitions. In essence, I am excited to contribute to an organization that I am passionate about and am confident that its impact will reverberate through not just my own but many future careers of female leaders to come!
