Missed This Month’s Mentoring Chat?

We have the re-cap of what we learned from our chat with Tonja Eagen!

Tonja Eagan

Click below to hear from Tonja Eagen, CEO of the Social Health Organization of Indiana, as shares why she joined Mentoring Women’s Network and her views on leadership.

What We Learned About Tonja’s Experiences:

  • Tonja joined MWN because she realized she didn’t have many mentors that were women in her life.

  • Tonja has and is still continuing to learn how to create her own success and uncovering her core values through adversity.

  •  How lack of trust hindered her as a leader early on.

  • Finding her purpose in life to give back and help others

Advise from Tonja:

  • Incorporate diverse perspectives into decision making.

  • Integrate life and work rather than balancing it.

  • Flexibility in your schedule often accompanies rising in the ranks

  • Realizing daily choices determine future success

  • Resilience is a muscle you have to build

  • How you respond to crisis is how you’re remembered

  • Living by the phrase “True character is revealed when you come face to face with adversity.”
