Why We Support the Pass The Torch for Women Relay Event Presented by USA Funds
When we heard about Mentoring Women’s Network Foundation’s Relay Event, we jumped on board immediately. The mission behind the Pass The Torch for Women campaign aligns with the values behind our company. The founding of Fresh Figs Marketing was inspired by a mentoring relationship and we hone that supportive atmosphere within our organization. Although our staff is small, we are committed to furthering the skills, ambitions and career paths of each team member.
This belief in the value of mentoring led our founder, Jennifer Riley Simone, to become involved with Mentoring Women’s Network in 2012. Throughout her time with the organization, she has met a plethora of successful women, each with their own compelling life and career journey. Each of those women had joined the organization because they understood the power behind its mission – and because they could afford to.
Not every woman is fortunate to have that same opportunity. The Pass the Torch for Women campaign is committed to removing barriers for women who are looking to propel their careers. By providing scholarships to participate in a formal mentoring program, MWNF opens the door to success for all women, regardless of their circumstances. The Fresh Figs Marketing Team’s belief in the value of mentoring compelled us to participate in the Pass the Torch for Women Relay Event.
Our hope is to raise enough money to allow 5 women to reap the benefits of a meaningful mentoring relationship. You can help us reach that $1,500 goal by joining us for the August 8th event in Indianapolis, or by donating to our team.
