Garrett is a Vice President for First Merchants Bank Central Indiana Region with over 20 years of financial and commercial banking experience, mostly in the Central Indiana market. Garrett has a middle market focus with a target market of companies in the $10MM to $500MM annual sales revenue range. Typical deal structures emphasize the “full bank” relationship with credit facilities as well as treasury management services and other financial and advisory needs. Targeted opportunities include financing working capital, business acquisitions, partner buyouts, equipment financing, owner occupied real estate, and other fixed assets on the Commercial/Industrial side. Garrett also focuses on the trucking and logistics sector, ESOPs, and has years of experience working with SBA transactions both 7(a) and 504.
Garrett holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from The Ohio State University and a Masters
of Business Administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Garrett also spent several
years as an Adjunct Faculty member at Indiana Wesleyan University facilitating Bachelors level courses in Micro & Macro Economics. Garrett is and has been very active within the community. He is a current member of the Advisory Council for the Central Indiana Women’s Business Center, on the Conexus Indiana Central Regional Council, and is involved with Indy NAWBO. He is a past board member of the Lawrence Township School Foundation, MS Society Indiana Chapter, and is a graduate of the Hamilton County Leadership Academy. Garrett resides in Fishers and has three daughters, Alexis, Erica, and Cassandra. Garrett is fluent in Spanish, an avid outdoorsman, enjoys recreational sports, and also assists with his daughters’ youth sports endeavors.
